Today vs Tomorrow: A Two-Voice Poem
I wish I had a phone that listens to me, that does what I say.
“Phone.” I call out and it answers back to me.
I wish I had a TV where I could touch the characters.
I sit among the TV projections as if I am a part of the show.
I wish I could learn more about the universe.
The government sent people into another galaxy, the universe is waiting for us.
I wish I did not have to live without an arm.
Scientists have regenerated my arm using other cells, I feel good as new.
I wish my friends would treat me normally.
If only my friends were not made of wires.
I wish people knew the real me, not the crippled one.
I want people to know the real me, not the online one.
I wish I lived in the future.
I am thankful I was not born in the past.

I wish my friends would treat me normally.
If only my friends were not made of wires.
I wish people knew the real me, not the crippled one.
I want people to know the real me, not the online one.
I wish I lived in the future.
I am thankful I was not born in the past.
